There’s lots going on for children and teenagers at All Saints.
We have three Sunday School groups Scramblers / Climbers (for Pre-Reception Nursery up to Year 2), Explorers (Years 3 to 6) and Pathfinders (Years 7 plus). We’ re all together for the first 20 minutes of the 11 o’clock service, and then the young people go to their own rooms in other parts of the church for their groups. Once a month the service is designed for all ages, and we all stay together in church. Over the summer holidays, the Sunday School teachers have a rest, and other church members run a lively Summer Sundays programme instead.
Every Wednesday evening during term-time, from 7.30 to 9.00 pm, Mission Impossible meets in All Saints for a mixture of games, discussion, Bible and fun. Everyone’s welcome from Year 7 upwards, whether they come on Sunday or not, and it’s completely free (just bring some money for the tuck shop!).
Tiny Hands Worship Group
Friendship, Fun, Worship, Word and Fellowship, Meet up from 9:45 every Wednesday morning during term time (and sometimes in the holidays) in the coffee lounge at All Saints Church. Activities for 0 -3 years, singing and children’s bible stories.
Every Monday after school, starting 3:00pm for 3:30pm, there is Kidzone at All Saints.
Kidzone is an after-school service for infants and juniors with their parents. While you have a cup of tea and a chat, your child(ren) will be busy with a fun craft activity.
This is followed by an engaging service in church incorporating songs (with actions, of course!), a Bible story, a quiz, a memory verse, prayer, and plenty of fun, chocolate, and opportunity to experience the joyful noise children can make to the Lord.
We aim to finish about 4:15pm.
And it’s all free.
Mum’s the Word
At home with small children, whether mum, dad, grandma or child-minder. Come along on a Monday morning, any time between 10.00 and 11.30 during term-time, for a coffee and chat with friendly people in the same boat. Little ones play with our wide selection of toys on a comfy carpet while you relax for a bit. Let’s face it, you deserve it!
A group of people from All Saints and two other local churches go out round the town and the park each Friday night chatting to the young people who hang around with nothing to do. We try to share the love of Jesus in what we say, and in the chocolate and hot drinks we hand out. We meet at 7.45 pm in the Salvation Army HQ on Leicester Street, and a small group stays behind to pray while the others go out on the streets. Why not come to take a look?
