Children and young people have their own page on this website. Here’s what the adults get up to…
We have a lovely home group which meets regularly in the evenings for Bible study, fellowship and prayer. Please use the ‘Contact us’ page to find out more.
We have four midweek groups which meet to pray, share the Bible and worship God together. Each group also aims to serve the community, and this is reflected in their names. The ‘Growing Families’ group supports parents with young children. The ‘Undergrowth Group’ does up people’s gardens for free. The two ‘Church on Wheels’ groups care for elderly people who can’t make it to church any more. For more details use the ‘Contact Details’ (at the bottom of the home page), or have a look at the noticeboards at the back of the church lounge.
Every Friday morning from 10 am to 12 noon the church is open for tea, coffee and a selection of cakes. Drop in for a few minutes or the whole morning – we don’t mind! There’s always someone friendly to chat to, and you can also pop in to the main body of the church for some quiet and a prayer if you wish (as you can every weekday morning).
Meeting Point meets throughout the year on Wednesday afternoons at 2.00 pm in church. Meetings usually involve some friendly conversation, prayer, a guest speaker and a cup of tea. The speakers are drawn from the congregation or from further afield. Once a year there is a Communion service in the side chapel.
We have a fine peal of eight bells, and a dedicated team of ringers to peal them. They ring before the start of the 11 o’clock service each week, and also (where requested) for weddings. Ringing practice is at 6.30 pm on Wednesday evenings.
Every Thursday evening at 7.30 pm our Craft group meets in church. Everyone brings a craft activity and works on it in convivial company. There’s always someone to help you out if you get stuck or need a helping hand. All welcome.
A small group of enthusiasts meets in church most Friday afternoons to fly micro-helicopters, taking advantage of our high ceilings. Give Tony or Terry a ring to find out when they’re next meeting – use the contact detail on the home page and we’ll put you in touch with them
